This day retreat features teachings, prayers, and guided meditations.

It is based on the Buddhist practice of refuge, where we seek protection from suffering by relying on Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.

It is suitable for anyone, regardless of their experience.

Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha are known as the Three Jewels.

When we go for refuge to the Three Jewels we enter into the Buddhist family.

Buddha is the source of all teachings and blessings, Dharma is the realization of Buddha’s teachings, and Sangha is the pure Dharma practitioners who help us with our spiritual practice.

 

The day has 4 sessions, with an optional vegetarian/vegan lunch at 1pm.

The sessions last for 1 hour, and feature teachings, prayers, and a guided meditation.

This retreat day is open to anyone - no previous experience is needed.

WHAT DOES IT COST

£15 - no lunch

£20 - with a vegetarian and vegan lunch.

 

TIMETABLE

10am to 11am - Session 1

11.30am to 12.30pm - Session 2

1pm - Optional Veggie/Vegan Lunch

2.30pm to 3.30pm - Session 3

4pm to 5pm - Session 4

 

SUITABILITY

No experience is needed - this retreat day is suitable for anyone.

Class Teacher

Gen Pagpa is an English Buddhist Monk and has been studying meditation for over 20 years.

He is an accomplished public speaker, and can explain Buddha’s teachings in a practical and interesting manner.

He has taught classes and retreats at Meditation Centres throughout the country.
