£10.00
On this course, Nick Colledge will explain the faults & causes of anger in the first session, and then go into more detail on the practice of patience in the second session.
He will also guide relaxing meditations that help us access our own inner peace.
Patience is a virtuous mind that is able to bear any kind of suffering or harm.
When we practise patience we are wearing the supreme inner armour that directly protects us from physical sufferings, mental pain and other problems.
‘With patience nothing upsets our peace of mind and we do not experience problems.’
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
Nick studies on the Foundation Program in Preston and has taught regularly in Lytham.
He explains Buddha’s teachings in a clear and confident manner, and his guided meditations are relaxing and insightful.

By training in meditation, we create an inner space and clarity that enable us to control our mind regardless of the external circumstances.
Gradually we develop mental equilibrium, a balanced mind that is happy all the time, rather than an unbalanced mind that oscillates between the extremes of excitement and despondency.
If we train in meditation systematically, eventually we shall be able to eradicate from our mind the delusions that are the causes of all our problems and suffering.
In this way, we shall come to experience permanent inner peace.
